Keep in mind that not all of your customers want to buy on mobile devices. 20.2% of consumers say that security concerns are the major reason why they don’t buy via mobile. This does not mean that your mobile marketing to them is a waste, just that they will by from you in a different way. Consider your customer demographic, it may pay to wait to invest in mobile until your customers and prospects are ready. Take the time to survey current customers to get a feel for how they would like to interact with you via mobile. You may be surprised at what you find.

You should take a look at the ads you see on your mobile devices. Which ones impress you and what is it about the bad ones that turns you off? What types of text messaging services do you opt in for and what would benefit your customers? There are a lot of different ways you can use mobile to help and serve. Mobile marketing is all about convenience to your customers. The easier you make it for them to buy from you the more likely they are to do it.

You may want to consider text messaging because it is much easier to reach people via text message than it is via email. Many companies have found that mobile apps are a great way to engage customers.
