Direct mail marketing is very effective when the recipient reads your mail. The quickest way to get someone to read your mail is with a postcard. Postcards are visually appealing and draw recipients to respond. These can be great ways to market for services, products or real estate. If you are mailing with presorted standard postage, then you can mail up to a 6 1/8 x 11 ½ size to really stand out and yet pay no more in postage than a standard 4 ¼ x 6 card. Just remember on the lager postcards, this does not mean adding more words. Use more images, make everything bigger, add a QR code that links to a video or more information the recipients are interested in, too many words distract from the postcard messaging. Postcards work well for most industries but are very successful for real estate marketing. Remember to really plan out your timeline, your subject and your desired outcome. Knowing what you are trying to get recipients to do, will help you translate that clearly on the postcards. Without a planned outcome in mind, you are just wasting your money.
